About Me

I’m a physician, startup advisor, & angel investor.

My background includes: scientific research, 21 years of clinical experience, a healthcare management degree with a focus on healthcare technology, media experience, and advisory work for healthcare startups. I have written articles for various media publications, including TechCrunch, MedTech Boston, and Healthegy, and I frequently take public speaking engagements as well.

I’ve worked with a number of startups in various roles and I am currently an advisor to Nutrimedy, a telenutrition platform connecting patients to registered dietitians.

I’m a member of a few angel groups and syndicates. I enjoy helping entrepreneurs with great ideas & hope to be a growing resource to the startup community. You can find my startup portfolio at AngelList.

My educational background includes a bachelor of arts degree from Boston University, a medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, residency training in Ob/Gyn at Northwell Health in NY, and a master’s degree in healthcare leadership from Brown University. My thesis project during my master’s studies was focused on healthcare technology, in particular studying the potential & challenges of electronic health records and being the physician leader for a project to improve interoperability of EHRs at my hospital. My clinical practice has been in Massachusetts at hospitals within the Steward Healthcare and UMass Memorial Healthcare networks.

I am an avid follower of healthcare & medical innovations, startups & investing, and women’s health & leadership.
