I’m a physician and artist. I was born in Gujarat, India, but grew up in New Jersey, and now live in Massachusetts in a little town with classic New England charm. In my younger years, I sketched with pencil and charcoal and painted in acrylics. Now I enjoy painting in oil. I am mostly self-taught, but in the past year, I’ve worked with a wonderful local artist-mentor named Alexia Rosoff Wilbur who has helped me improve my skills greatly and is teaching me new techniques and how to work with oils.
I’ve been an art lover for many years and have been inspired by many artists. Beautiful art has been a source of wonder and joy, and an inspiration to create my own. Another inspiration is travel. I love to learn about other cultures and enjoy local art and architecture, and that is often when I’m practicing my photography.
Painting is a meditative experience for me. I paint scenes I love and I enjoy the opportunity to study them in detail over the hours I spend on the works.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
